A Holiday Tradition returns!

It is wonderful to announce that Monticello IA Main Street has been able to bring back the community Christmas tree after a decade-plus-long absence. A community tree is a cherished symbol of the holiday season and plays a significant role in placemaking in our downtown. It serves as a gathering place for residents and visitors alike, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Monticello IA Main Street is dedicated to revitalizing and preserving the historic downtown area. The efforts to bring back the community Christmas tree are a testament to our commitment to creating a vibrant and welcoming place for all.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the generous donors who made this possible: Commander Building, Chappell Machine, Kirkwood's Advanced Manufacturing & Welding Academy, BARD Materials, McAllister Electrical Services, Alliant Energy, Koob Towing, Becky Cooper and Family, Legacy Lanes and the City of Monticello. A special thanks goes to Jared Lasley and Vicky Farnum for graciously donating their tree and sparking the idea to bring back this tradition.  All of the support is invaluable in helping to create a memorable holiday experience for everyone in the community.
