Keynote Speaker:
Lora Friest was hired in 2022 by the Iowa tourism office as one of two tourism liaisons. She works with tourism industry partners across Iowa to maximize their tourism potential by making sure they understand the Iowa Tourism Office’s programs, initiatives, and tools. She also works to engage industry partners in the implementation of the Iowa Tourism Office’s innovative marketing plan for the expansion of Iowa’s Tourism industry, which generated $9.1 Billion in total economic impact in 2021. Lora came into her current position with nearly 25 years of experience in economic development and tourism, including over 20 years as the Executive Director of Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation and Development and two years with Winneshiek County Development and Tourism.
