  • Chamber Gift Certificates

    • Gift Certificates are more popular each year. Last year the Chamber had over $27,000 in certificates circulating throughout our Chamber Member Businesses.

  • TGIF Social Network

    • These meetings are hosted by members. Everyone is welcome to attend this networking opportunity. Join MACC members for refreshments and conversation.

  • Chamber Referrals

    • The Chamber receives many calls from individuals and businesses about goods and services. The Chamber refers members first.

  • Jones County Economic Development Partnership

    • Monthly one hour seminars are held at noon and are free to all Chamber Members. Meetings are targeted to businesses with a variety of topics and issues.

  • Welcome Package to Newcomers

    • The Chamber provides information to newcomers and future residents about schools, churches, healthcare services, and recreational areas. Brochures and coupons from Chamber members are also included.

  • Chamber Web Site

    • The Chamber's Web Site promotes Monticello's tourism and industry. All Chamber members are listed and promoted. The office staff maintains the web site to insure timely and accurate information.

  • Tourist Information Center

    • Located at the Chamber's office, tourist information is readily available for all travelers. The Chamber's brochure "Explore & Embrace Monticello" will be circulated at the four Iowa Welcome Centers.

  • Chamber's Booth at the Great Jones County Fair

    • This fair attracts thousands of people each year. Members may display brochures or products during the fair.

  • Chamber Newsletter

    • Published monthly, this newsletter informs members about up and coming Chamber events.


Ambassadors Club

The purpose of this group is to be the good-will arm of the chamber and to assist in and promote all needed activities of the Chamber. The Ambassadors attend ribbon cutting ceremonies, welcome new businesses to town, and provide support for ongoing projects of the chamber. Each year they help host Camp Courageous Breakfast in the spring and fall.

Commercial Club

This group of retailers has taken on the responsibility for the downtown beautification projects and retail promotions such as "Bunny Hop", "Fall Into Fun", and the "Christmas Tree Extravaganza".
